Fall Out Boy is an American pop punk band from Wilmette, Illinois, (a suburb of Chicago) that was formed in early 2001 by friends Joe Trohman and Pete Wentz. The band now consists of Patrick Stump (vocals, guitar, primary composer), Pete Wentz (bass guitar, vocals, primary lyricist), Joe Trohman (guitar, vocals), and Andy Hurley (drums, percussion).
Touring worldwide after the 2005 release of their 2.5 million selling album 'From Under the Cork Tree', the band grew larger and achieved greater popularity and stardom from youths worldwide.
In 2007 the band released their Infinity On High album, which proved to be an even greater success than their first, selling more than 260,000 in its first week, and struck a chord with thousands world wide with the single "This Ain't A Scene It's A Goddamn Arms Race".
